Wire drawing powder should generally have the following properties:

(1) Can be firmly adsorbed on the steel wire surface and come into the wire drawing mould with the steel wire, will effectively separate the two interface of the deformation zone;

(2) Resistance to high pressure and high temperature, under the process of high pressure and temperature rise , the lubricating film can still keep its continuity and lubrication without being damaged, not agglomerate, that is with physical and chemical stability;

(3) With good extensibility and lubricity, which not only can firmly adsorb on the steel wire surface, and can be extension deformation as the wire, the lubricating film is layered structure, each intermolecular layer’s binding force is strong, it has weak molecular binding force between different layers.

(4)Usually it won’t  produce any chemical reaction between the wire drawing powder chemical composition and the steel wire and generate the  compound which influences the performance of the steel wire, or have corrosion action to the steel wire, and is easy to be removed;

(5) Do not pollute the environment, harmless to the human body, and rich in resources, low cost, easy to save.
